Alfred James Wilmott

Alfred James Wilmott ( born December 31, 1888 in Tottenham, Middlesex, † January 26, 1950 in South Kensington, London ) was an English botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Wilmott "; earlier was also the abbreviation " Wilm. " in use.

Wilmott worked at the British Museum in London. He was editor of the 10th edition of the work published 1922 Manual of British botany by Charles Cardale Babington, but also published 14 mostly small contributions in the journal Watsonia.
