Alfred O. C. Nier

Alfred Otto Carl Nier ( born May 28, 1911 in Saint Paul / Minnesota, † May 16, 1994 ) was an American physicist. He delivered pioneering work in the field of mass spectrometry.

His work at Harvard University, led in 1938 to the publication of the relative abundances of the isotopes of the element uranium.
