Algama River

The Algama (Russian Алгама, including Algoma, Алгома ) is a right tributary of the Gonam in the southeast of the Sakha Republic in eastern Siberia.

The Algama rises on the northern slope of Stanowoigebirges. From there it flows first in easterly direction, but then turns to the northeast. It winds it through the Aldanhochland. The Algama finally empties into the Gonam, 3.5 kilometers from its mouth in the Utschur. The last few kilometers before its confluence forms the Algama the border with Khabarovsk region. The Algama has a length of 426 km. Its catchment area covers 21500 km ². Her biggest tributary is the Idjum which opens at river kilometer 47 from the right in the Algama.
