The Gonam (Russian Гонам; Yakut Гуонаам, Guonaam; headwaters also Monam ) is a 686 km long left tributary of the Utschur in eastern Siberia (Russia, Asia).

Course

The Gonam rises in about 1300 m altitude at 1620 m high mountain Tiptūr on the main ridge of the Stanowoigebirges. The source is located in the south of the Republic of Sakha ( Yakutia), near the border with the Amur Oblast, located in the well 80 km southwest of the city Tynda on the Baikal - Amur Mainline (BAM ). In the upper reaches of the Gonam flows through a wide valley north of the meandering Stanovoi main ridge in an easterly to northeasterly direction. Use and infrastructure

The lower reaches of the Gonam (below the rapids ) is conditionally navigable, however, is not considered as inland waterways.

The -carrying area is largely under the administration of the city Nerjungri, heard only in the lower reaches Ulus ( Rajon ) Aldan and is virtually uninhabited. Riverside and in its vicinity there are no towns. History
