The Lahore Airport ( Allama Iqbal International Airport English, Urdu علامہ اقبال بین الاقوامی ہوائی اڈا ) is the second largest airport of Pakistan.

Location and Directions

The airport is located near the city of Lahore. By car, the airport including on Barki Road can be reached.

Navigation aids

The Tower ( TWR ) sends and receives on the frequency: 118.1 MHz. The airport has several navigation aids. The non-directional beacon ( NDB ) transmits on the frequency: 268 kHz with the identifier: LA. The omnidirectional radio range (VOR) transmits on frequency: 112.7 MHz with code LA. A distance measuring equipment (DME ) is available.

Incidents

In the ten registered in the ASN database accidents in the vicinity of the airport no lives were lost. The last incident occurred in May 2009 when an aircraft ATR -42 was damaged during the landing and the nose landing gear was destroyed.
