Allure (Band)

Allure is an American R & B band that was founded in New York.

Biography

In 1996, Mariah Carey her own record label Cave Records. The first band is taken under contract Allure, consisting of the singers Linnie Belcher, Alia Davis, Lalisha McLean and Akissa Mendez.

The band members met in the early 1990s, known on the New York talent LaGuardia School of Performing Arts and rehearsed together since then until 1996 they were awarded the record deal. In the same year, work began on her first album, which was called Allure. They were supported by well-known artists such as Mary J. Blige, LL Cool J, Mariah Carey and Raekwon.

In spring 1997, the first single Head over heels appeared in collaboration with Nas, which reached the Top 40 on the Billboard charts right away. In addition to For you I ( Monica ) and step by step (Whitney Houston ) wants this single was the third highest new entry.

In late summer, followed by the second single, a cover version of the song All cried out by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. This time, Allure was supported by the band 112. After Mariah Carey Cave Records resolved, it took almost three years to Allure found a new label and in 2001 released their second album Sunny Days published. The Single Enjoy yourself was not a commercial success, after which the band had a short time later without a label. Linnie Belcher left the band in 2002.

In 2004, the band as a trio and the album Chapter III was back, it was released in 2006 as a special edition in the UK again.
