As diverse is the instrumentation, which includes cellos, violins, flutes and a piano. Another typical feature is the song to song of alternating male and female vocals. In particular, the high registers of the soprano singers, flutes and violins are in contrast to the otherwise characterized by hard rock and metal sounds music, which promotes a cheerful mood of the music.

The lyrics were initially written mostly in English, as the band felt this for their music as appropriate. On the newer albums but there are also increasingly Turkish texts. They often refer to ancient Oriental folk tales and fairy tales. So the album Shehrazad is based on the eponymous main character ( Scheherazade ) from the Old Persian fairy tales of the Arabian Nights.
