Almucantar

Almukantarat also Almukantarate or height Parallel is a term used in astronomy and referred to the horizon each parallel circle of the celestial sphere. Originally, the term comes from the Arabic word al - muqntarat (of qantara - " bend arc-like " ) and Hermann of Reichenau ( 1013-1054 ) has been introduced.

The Almukantarat refers to a line of equal zenith distance, all points on this circle so close to the zenith in the same observation angle.
