Alois left before the father's death the family home. With his half-brother Adolf Alois seemed to have never been well understood. Later he reported that Adolf was always preferred by his mother Klara, the third wife of the father, whereas Alois 've gotten some corporal punishment of the father for Adolf's pranks.

Since Alois Hitler, Jr.. showed technical talent, the father, to send him to an appropriate school and let be an engineer intended. These hopes seem to have been ( perhaps also by Clare intervention) dropped abruptly, at least the father was not willing to invest large sums in the training of his son. Instead, Alois was apprenticed.

The following four years were characterized by familial tensions. Alois was a drunk and beat as regularly as he drank, his wife, and probably also the small child. 1915 the father left the family and returned to Austria.

Even with his second ( illegitimate ) wife Hedwig Frieda Amalie " hetero " Mickley from Great -Neuendorf ( 1889-1966 ), he had one child, Henry. His ( unspecified ) shops in Germany performed well until the Great Depression, but then went under. By 1934 he was living with odd jobs. In 1934 he opened in Berlin, Wittenberg Platz 3, the restaurant " Alois ", which was a popular meeting place for SA people. His brother Adolf, he never visited.

Since his brother's seizure of power Alois had jun. Adolf and no (that became known ) contact each other more. In Mein Kampf was Alois jun. entirely concealed, few knew of Hitler's brother.
