Aluminium Konin

KS Gornik Konin (fully Sportowy club Gornik Konin ) is a football club from the Polish town of Konin.

History

The club was founded on 14 June 1957 the present name had its most successful athletic time between 1992 and 2004, when the club was represented with short breaks in the second highest Polish League, now the first league. In this period of just missed out on promotion to the Ekstraklasa in 1998 and reaching the final of the Polish Football Cup fell in the same year under the name of Aluminium Konin.

Renaming

The club was renamed several times during its existence, and bears since February 7, again in 2012 to its constitutional name.
