I liga (Poland)
The first league ( from September to November 2009 under the name Unibet 1st League ) is the second highest league in Polish football. It was founded on May 30, 1948, was first held in 1949. From 1949 until the 2008/09 season was the second competition league from the 2009/10 season 1 league. In the early years the mode has been changed again and again. So was the league of either one, two or four seasons. From summer 1962, the season was not played in Kalendarjahr, but the league has been adapted to the system of major European football leagues. Since the 2008/ 09 season playing in the Polish 1st league of 18 clubs. The First and Second qualify directly for the Ekstraklasa. The last four teams to rise directly from the 2nd league.
