Amak Iceland

The Mount Amak is a 488 m high stratovolcano of the Aleutian Island chain. The volcano is located north of the Alaska Peninsula in the Bristol Bay on the island Amak. It is the easternmost of the Aleutian Islands. The total volume of the volcano is about 1 cubic kilometer. In the outbreaks of 1700-1710 and 1796 originated Blocklavaströme. Previous lava flows, believed to have originated 4,000 to 5,000 years ago, consist mainly of andesitic lava.
