Ambrosio Echebarria Arroita

Ambrosio Echebarria Arroita ( born April 1, 1922 in Zeberio, Vizcaya, † December 6, 2010 in Bilbao) was a Spanish Catholic priest, and from 1974 to 1999 Bishop of Barbastro - Monzón.

Life

Echebarria Arroita received after studying theology and philosophy on June 29, 1947, ordained priest in Vitoria- Gasteiz. At the Pontifical University of Comillas, he received his doctorate in canon law.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him in 1974 to the bishop of Barbastro - Monzón.
