Amelia Piccinini

Amelia Piccinini ( born January 17, 1917 in Turin, † April 3, 1979 ) was an Italian athlete.

The European Athletics Championships 1946 in Oslo Piccinini won the bronze medal in the shot put and finished fourth in the long jump. She celebrated her greatest international success at the Olympic Games in London in 1948 when she won the silver medal in the shot put behind the Frenchwoman Micheline Ostermeyer and before the Austrian Ine Schäffer. The European Athletics Championships 1950 in Brussels, she was seventh.
