Ames Brothers

The Ames Brothers were an American vocal quartet of the 1950s.

The Quartet with the birth name Urick consisted of Joe ( May 3, 1924), Gene ( born February 13, 1925), Vic (May 20, 1926 - January 23, 1978 ) and Ed Ames, who grew up in poverty and 1947 to show business boarded.

History

After winning several local talent competitions they came about appearances in Boston nightclubs in New York and Los Angeles.
