Amica Wronki

Amica Wronki is a Polish football club.

Club history

The association was created in 1992 from the merger of the two clubs Błękitni Wronki and LZS Czarni Wromet Wróblewo. The eponymous main sponsor Amica Wronki is a manufacturer of household appliances and gave the financial conditions that the club was able to rise within four years of the 4th Polish league in the 1st Polish league. In 1996, the club finished his first season in the Ekstraklasa with the fifth place in the table. From 1998 to 2000 Amica Wronki won three times in succession the Polish Cup.

At European level, Amica Wronki already played in the Europa Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Cup. Best-known opponents of European competitions came in the small stadium near Poznań, were: Hertha BSC, Atletico Madrid and Servette Geneva.

The first league team merged in 2006 with KS Lech Poznań, who later umnannte in KKS Lech Poznań. Many players but remained at the club and took over for the season 2006 /07 the place of the second team in the third league. After this season, the game operation, however, was completely stopped and the club only focuses on the young talent in the youth field.
