Amy Locane

Amy Locane ( born December 19, 1971 in Trenton, New Jersey ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Locane appeared as a child in several commercials. In 1984 she received a role in the sitcom Spencer of the National Broadcasting Company. In the film drama Road Home (1989 ) she played alongside Donald Sutherland. In the comedy Cry - Baby ( 1990), she took alongside Johnny Depp one of the main roles. In 1992, she appeared on the television series Melrose Place in some episodes.

For his role in the film drama Blue Sky (1994 ), in which she starred opposite Jessica Lange and Tommy Lee Jones, she was nominated in 1995 for the Young Artist Award. In the television drama Unconditional Love (1997) she went to the opposite Jacqueline Bisset, Peter Weller and Julian Sands. In the thriller I kiss you, I 'll kill you (1998) she played alongside William McNamara one of the main roles. The award- winning indie film Secretary - How can I help? (2002) she starred opposite James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal.

With her husband Mark Bovenizer Amy Locane has two daughters, Paige Cricket (* January 2007) and Avery Hope (born 21 January 2009).

After Locane 27 June 2010 caused an accident under the influence of alcohol, in which another motorist was killed, she was charged with manslaughter. On November 27, 2012, she was sentenced to five to ten years in prison for manslaughter, as well as three to five years in prison for assault with a car. Locane sits her punishment from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women and has from 12 June 2015, the chance of parole.
