An Encounter with Faces

An Encounter with Faces an Indian Vidhu Vinod Chopra short documentary from the year 1978. He portrays the poverty Bombay street children.

The film was Chopra's directorial debut after graduating from film school in Pune. He has been shown at numerous film festivals and won awards in Oberhausen, Leipzig ( Golden Dove ), Tampere ( Grand Prix) and New Delhi ( Golden Peacock - Best Short Film ).

At the Academy Awards in 1979, he was nominated for Best Short Documentary in the category.
