Anahita Ratebzad

Nahid Anahita Ratebzad ( Pashtun اناهيتا راتبزاد; * 1931 in Guldara Shamaliebene ) is a former Afghan diplomat and politician.

Life

Nahid Anahita Ratebzad attended the Lycée Malalai in Kabul and studied in the 1950s at the Chicago School of Nursing Health and Nursing. In Kabul, she led a women's hospital and taught nursing. In 1963, at the University of Kabul Institute of Medicine was established, she worked there in the faculty.

In 1965, after the entry into force of the new Constitution, she sat down in the constituency in Kabul Wolesi Jirga of choice for against Mir Fath Muhammad as one of four women. When palpable conflict after 25 October 1965 she was estimated to be Babrak Karmal before slain by parliamentary colleagues. In this body, she was re-elected in 1969 and served there as chairman. In 1976 she was elected to the Central Committee of the Lao People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan.

In the course of Saurrevolution April 27, 1978 she was elected to the Revolutionary Council of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan and served there as Minister of Social Affairs. Within the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan, it was attributed to the Parcham faction. On 10 July 1978 she was dismissed from the party wing of the Chalqis as Minister of Social Affairs and sent as an ambassador to Belgrade.

From 1980 to 1981 she was Minister of Education in the government of Babrak Karmal. In 1989 she was a member of the Politburo of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan.
