Anay Tejeda

Anay Tejeda Quesada ( born April 3, 1983 in Havana ) is a Cuban hurdler who specializes in the 100-meter distance.

The Junior World Champion from 2002 in 2003 Eighth at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo and retired in 2004 at the Olympics in Athens in the run- off. In 2005, she reached at the World Championships in Helsinki the semi-finals, and in 2006 she won Gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games.

In 2007, she was at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro Fifth and won the bronze medal with the Cuban team in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. At the World Championships in Osaka she divorced again in the semifinals.

In 2008, she won bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia and Gold at the Central American and Caribbean Championships. At the Olympic Games in Beijing, she came into the semi-finals.

In 2008 she defended her title at the Central American and Caribbean Championships and came at the World Championships in Berlin last four. The following year, she finished fourth at the World Indoor Championships in Doha and was Ibero-American Champion.

Anay Tejeda is 1,65 m tall and weighs 59 kg. She is coached by Santiago Antúnez.
