Ancient Diocese of Lombez

The diocese Lombez (Latin: Dioecesis Lomberiensis ) was a location in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Lombez.

History

The diocese Lombez was on July 13, 1317 by Pope John XXII. noster built with the Papal bull Salvator out of territory of the archbishopric of Toulouse. First bishop was Arnaud Roger de Comminges.

On November 29, 1801, Diocese Lombez was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the diocese of Bayonne.

The diocese Lombez was the archbishopric Toulouse is a suffragan.
