Ancient Diocese of Senlis

The diocese of Senlis (Latin: Dioecesis Silvanectensis ) was located in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Senlis.

History

The diocese of Senlis was built in the 4th century. First bishop was Rieul.

On 29 November 1801, the diocese of Senlis was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the diocese of Beauvais.

The diocese of Senlis was the archbishopric of Reims, is a suffragan. In 1754 it comprised 72 parishes.
