On his way north to Ablach Andelsbach flows through the Illmensee ( 691 m above sea level. NN ) and the eponymous town Illmensee to dine ( 691 m above sea level. NN ) then the Ruschweiler lake. He passed the hamlet Gampenhof and Andelsbach and the place Denkingen. He then flows east of the city Pfullendorf, past Zell am Andelsbach and Schwäblishausen to Hausen am Andelsbach and Krauchenwies. In Krauchenwies it flows into the Ablach.

Etymology

The hydronym andal or stay is probably of Celtic origin, possibly meaning " whirlpool " or " water movement against the shore ." He is with the old Occitan word andalhon " water movement " comparable. Another example of hydronyms that contain the word stay, the Andelle, a 57 km long river in Normandy.
