Anderson is a city and the county seat ( county seat ) of Grimes County in the U.S. state of Texas in the United States.

Geography

The city is located about 100 km north- west of Houston, near the U.S. Highway 105 and U.S. Highway 6 in the central southeast Texas and has a total area of 1.3 km ² without significant water surface.

History

The first name of the city was Fanthorp, later, the city in the last Anderson Vice President of the Republic of Texas, died here in 1845 was renamed by Kenneth Lewis Anderson.
