András Horváth (ice hockey)

András Horváth (Hungarian András Horváth, born April 8, 1976 in Budapest) is a Hungarian ice hockey player who is since 2007 in Alba Volán Székesfehérvár in the Austrian Hockey League contract.

Career

András Horváth began his career as a hockey player in his youth Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros, for the first team, he was active in the Hungarian Hockey League from 1994 to 2005. During this time, the defender won four -time national champion title (1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002) and eight times the national cup competition (1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004) with his team. Furthermore, the right-handed shooter was six times runner-up (1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005) with Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros. Subsequently, the international joined in the summer of 2005 to their league rivals Újpesti TE, for which he was the following two seasons running, before the 2007/08 season a contract with Alba Volán Székesfehérvár received, for which he has since parallel in the Austrian Hockey League and the Hungarian Hockey League is on the ice. In the years 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, he won the Hungarian Alba Volánbusz each title.

Internationally

For Hungary, Horváth took part in the junior level at the U18 Junior B Championship in 1994 and the U20 Junior C World Cup 1995.

In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the World Championships Division II in 1995 and 2000, the World Championships Division I 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011, the world championship of IA Division 2012 and at the World Championships in 2009.
