András Paróczai

András Paróczai ( born May 11, 1956 in Jászladány, Jász -Nagykun -Szolnok ) is a Hungarian former middle-distance runner, who specializes in the 800 -meter distance.

In the Indoor Athletics Championships in Vienna in 1979, he won bronze. In 1980, he won a silver medal at the European Indoor Championships in Sindelfingen and reached at the Olympic Games in Moscow in the semi-finals. At the 1981 European Indoor Championships he won silver again.

Four times he was Hungarian champion over 800 m (1975, 1978-1980 ) and twice over 400 m (1979, 1980). In the hall he won the national title in 1980 over 800 m.
