André Jørgensen

André Marius Jørgrensen ( born April 9, 1979 in Arendal / Norway) is a Norwegian handball player. Its body length is 1.99 m.

Jørgensen, who plays for the Norwegian club ØIF Arendal and for the Norwegian men's national handball team ( shirt number 17) runs, is used mostly in the left back.

André Jørgensen started at ØIF Arendal in his home town with the handball game. Later he made his debut for Kristiansand in the first Norwegian league. In 2000 he moved to the top Club and former champion IL Runar Sandefjord, where in 2001 he won the Norwegian Cup. In April 2003, he moved on to Bidasoa Irun in the Spanish league ASOBAL; In early 2006, however, he let his contract with the Basques dissolve and joined the Danish first division club AaB Aalborg to Håndbold from. In summer 2009, he signed a contract with the league rivals GOG Svendborg TGI. Following the bankruptcy of GOG the contract was terminated and Jørgensen signed in February 2010 a contract with the Norwegian club ØIF Arendal.

André Jørgensen has been disputed 117 caps for the Norwegian men's national handball team. His greatest success with Norway was the 7th place in the Men's Handball World Championship for Men 2005. With Norway, he participated in the European Handball Championship in 2006 and at the World Handball Championship for Men in Germany in 2007, but resigned both times already after the first round and finished in the latter at the end of the 13th Place. At the European Handball Championship in 2008 in his own country, he also took part.
