Andrea Bosic

Andrea Bosic (actually Ignazio Božič, born August 15, 1919 in Gomilsko, Maribor, † January 9, 2012 in Bologna, Emilia- Romagna) was a Slovenian actor.

Life

Bosic came during the Second World War to Rome. The son of Slovenian parents attended from 1942 to 1945 the Accademia d' Arte Drammatica. His stage debut was alongside Anna Magnani in Simon Gantillons Maja. At the Piccolo Teatro di Milano in 1950, he played in a Giorgio Strehler 's production of Macbeth and later alongside Paola Bourbons. From 1951 was Bosic whose tall and aristocratic appearance predestined him for roles as officers, government officials or lawyers, to 1972 regularly until 1985, even occasionally in the Italian genre cinema a fixed size. His nearly 60 films included, inter alia, Spaghetti westerns, melodramas and adventure films. Especially in the 1960s, he starred in successful TV movies like La luna dei Caraibi (1962), Ultima Bohème (1963 ) and L' ordine (1967 ) as well as in episodes of the series Maigret (1965) and Sherlock Holmes (1968).
