Andrea Pangrazio

Andrea Pangrazio ( born September 1, 1909 in Táhtászada; † 2 June 2005) was an Italian bishop of the Catholic Church.

Pangrazio was ordained July 3, 1932 in Padua as a priest. On August 26, 1953, he was called by Pope Pius XII. appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Verona and titular bishop of Caesarea in Thessalia. He received episcopal consecration on 4 October in 1953 by Bishop Girolamo Bartolomeo Bortignon of Padua, were co-consecrators Guido Maria Mazzocco, Bishop of Adria, and Vittorio De Zanche the Bishop of Concordia. On 19 May 1955 he was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of Livorno and was on February 10, 1959 successor of the same day above orbenen Bishop Giovanni Piccioni. Pope John XXIII. appointed Andrea Pangrazio on April 4, 1962 Archbishop of Gorizia (Gorizia ). On 2 February 1967, he became Archbishop ad personam of the diocese of Porto. From 1966 to 1972 he was secretary of the Italian bishops' conference.

With reaching the age limit, he offered Pope John Paul II to his resignation, which was adopted on 7 December 1984. He died on 2 June 2005 and was buried in the Sacri Cuori di Gesù e Maria cathedral in the Roman district of La Storta.
