Andreas Boyde

Andreas Boyde ( born November 13, 1967 in Oschatz ) is a German pianist.

Life

Andreas Boyde studied in Dresden with Christa Holzweißig and Amadeus Webersinke and in London at James Gibb. Decisive influenced him, his mentor and promoter Malcolm Frager.

The pianist toured international music centers and has performed as a soloist, inter alia, with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Dresden, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Prague Radio Orchestra, the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, Virtuosi Saxoniae, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, the Hallé Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre, the Dresden Symphony Orchestra, the London Mozart Players and the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.

Andreas Boyde brought contemporary compositions such as Paul Schoen Fields Piano Concerto Four Parables for the European premiere and the Piano Concerto by John Pickard dedicated to him for the premiere.

The pianist has recorded the piano works of Johannes Brahms for OehmsClassics in co-production with WDR on CD. Andreas Boydes reconstruction of the Schubert Variations by Robert Schumann was published by Hofmeister Musikverlag.

In 2012, he entered his name in the Book of Honor of the City Oschatz.
