Andreas (comics)

Andreas Martens aka Andreas ( born January 3, 1951 in White Rock ) is a German comic artist.

Career

He began studying art at the Art Academy Dusseldorf, but switched after three years at the Brussels Institut Saint -Luc. At the Académie de Saint -Gilles, he attended Comic courses of Eddy Paape, he could assist in Luc Orient, Udolfo and Carol Détective. His first published comic, Schizo, was published in 1978 in the anthology Le Rêve 9ième.

His comics are narrative and atmospherically influenced by the works of HP Lovecraft. Draw Risch remembers his style of woodcut illustrations of the 19th century.

Andréas lives with his family in France.
