Luc Orient

Luc Orient ( Luc Orient ) is a published 1967-1994 French- Belgian comic series. Creator of the science fiction series were Greg and Eddy Paape.

Luc Orient, whose girlfriend Yvonne and Professor Hugo Kala are employees of fictional pan-European scientific authority euro crystal, Kala, the role of the brilliant scientist, Orient of impulsive man of action and Yvonne takes as eponymous main character of the series is a rather attention - watching in the background that thinks along with collaborator. The series recalls the beginning a bit of Flash Gordon, but then developed rapidly more autonomy. The adventure play mostly on earth, but also often on the fictional planet Terango and Robak. In addition to typical genre mutated beings like animals and exotic monsters frequently recurring antagonist of the Orient terangische dictator Sectan as well as the brilliant but evil earthly scientists Doctor Argos.

Publications

Luc Orient appeared from 1967 serialized in Tintin. It was then one of the many series that were started under the then editor Greg to undergo the magazine a facelift. From 1969, the stories by Editions du Lombard were published in albums form.

Up to 13 regularly album appeared one to two issues per year, the later stories appeared irregular. Number 16 was written by Paape itself, number 17 is a collection of previously published short stories, was published in 1994 with number 18, the last episode well. However, there is still an eight-page fragment of an unfinished after Greg's death story.

His debut in Germany Luc Orient Magazine MV Comix of Ehapa publishing, where under the title Dr. Nowhere, only the short story Les spores de nulle part in No. 25/1970 came to reprint. Subsequently, the series was released by Coral serialized in Zack and its offshoots (1972-1979), some stories also in the form of albums ( Zack Comic Box). In Carlsen Verlag and the bastion -Verlag then the albums published 1 through 13 in chronological order. The Bastion -Verlag equipped the volumes for newsstand sales with new cover images of another signatory. Volumes 14 to 17 finally appeared at Norbert Hethke publisher, the number 18 in Salleck or the publisher mosaic stone by stone, in which the fragment was also published in a special issue zag.

Since 2011, a total issue will be published in the Ehapa Comic Collection.
