Andreas Dombret

Andreas Dombret Raymond ( born January 16, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa ) is a German - American economist and bank managers. From 2005 to 2009 he held a leading role in the Bank of America. Since 1 May 2010 he is a member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank. Andreas Dombret has German and American citizenship. He was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon 2007. In 2012 he was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art. 2013, he was recognized for his achievements with the Hessian Merit and Honorary Medal of the City of Frankfurt am Main.

Training

Andreas Dombret, son of bank director Max Raymond Dombret (1925-2012) and the physician Dr. Charlotte Dombret, born Genschow (1924-1996), completed after high school at the Municipal School Ahlen training as a banker at Dresdner Bank and closed at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster studying business Administration with a degree in business Administration. He received his doctorate at the Friedrich -Alexander -University Erlangen -Nuremberg with Wolfgang Gerke with a thesis on " takeover premiums in M & A transactions ." For several years he was there visiting lecturer at the Department of Banking and Asset Markets.

Business and Career

Andreas Dombret began his career in 1987 at the headquarters of Deutsche Bank. He worked for ten years at JP Morgan in London and Frankfurt, where he was a member of management responsible for the care of German financial institutions. After that, he spent four years as Co - Chairman of the Management and Partner at Rothschild in Germany. From 2005 to 2009, he served as Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Europe for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the Bank of America. September 30, 2009 Dombret left the Bank of America. In 2009 he was appointed Honorary Professor at the EBS University of Economics and Law in Oestrich-Winkel, where he gives lectures on Financial Markets and the current financial market crisis. He is also treasurer of the Atlantic Bridge and the Association for Social Policy, Member of the Board of Liko-Bank/Frankfurt, the Bank for International Settlements ( BIS) / Basel, member of the Stock Exchange Commission of the Ministry of Finance, Member of the Board of the International Center for Monetary and Banking Studies ( ICMB ) / Geneva and co-editor of the journal for the entire credit system.

Donate activities

Andreas Dombret financed the Andreas founded by him Dombret Center for Students Initiatives ( CSI) at the Economics Faculty of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster. To center includes several funded through him rooms. He also donates there a promotional price, which is awarded every year for a dissertation, which combines the best research and practice. For his contributions to the promotion of the University of Andreas Dombret in 2009 was awarded the University Medal EMU. For his promotion of the Arnulf Rainer Museum in Baden bei Wien him the big silver arms of the town of Baden was awarded in January 2010.
