Andreas Friedrich Bauer

Andreas Friedrich Bauer ( born August 18, 1783 in Stuttgart, † December 27, 1860 in Würzburg ) was an engineer and entrepreneur.

In Stuttgart, Bauer was apprenticed to the optician and mechanic before he took up the study of mathematics in Tübingen.

1800 immigrant farmer from the UK. There he learned in 1807, Friedrich Koenig know. They developed jointly among others, the Quick Press for the London " Times ".

Bauer was the application of the so-called circular motion for the operation of the foundation of the printing press. The first machine with this system was delivered in 1840 to Leipzig.
