Andreea Acatrinei

Andreea Roxana Acatrinei ( born April 7, 1992, Braşov, Braşov county ) is a retired Romanian artistic gymnast.

Career

Acatrinei began at the age of six years with the competitive sports in their hometown at the Clubul Sportiv Scolar # 1 Braşov, where she was coached by Mihai Ipate and Alina Ştefănescu. As of 2002, she did gymnastics at the C.S.Ş. Chetatea Deva and was trained there by Valerian Nicolae Forminte. Acatrinei won with the Romanian national team at the 2008 Olympics, the bronze medal in the team competition, but failed to qualify for any of the apparatus finals. On the advice of her doctors Acatrinei ended in February 2009, her active career due to a persistent spine syndrome. Since then, she devotes more and more school activities and works on the side as a trainer for children.
