Andrey Fedoriv

Andrei Romanovich Fedoriw (Russian: Андрей Романович Федорив, English transcription Andrey Fedoriv, . Born August 11, 1963 in Lviv ) is a retired Russian sprinter.

In 1986, he won the Soviet Union starting at the European Athletics Championships in Stuttgart Bronze 200 m. The following year he reached at the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome over the same distance the semi-finals; in the 4 x 100 - meter relay, he was employed in the flow and thus contributed to winning the silver medal for the Soviet team.

At the Olympic Games in Barcelona in 1992, he finished with the 4 x 100 -meter relay team of United to fifth place. In 1993 he retired, now starting for Russia in the World Championships in Stuttgart over 200 m in the semifinals of 1994 was at the European Championships in Helsinki over the same distance in sixth.

At the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and at the World Championships in Athens, he came over 100m quarter-finals and was eliminated over 200 m in the run- off.

Twice he was Russian champion over 100 m ( 1996, 1997) and three times over 200 m ( 1994, 1996, 1997). In the hall he won four times each Soviet and Russian titles over 200 m (1983, 1989-1991, 1993, 1994, 1998, 1999 ) and twice the Russian title over 60 m (1996, 1998).

His daughter Alexandra Fedoriwa is also successful as a sprinter.
