Andrey Yepishin

Andrei Sergeyevich Jepischin (Russian: Андрей Сергеевич Епишин; born June 10, 1981 in Zhukovsky, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR, USSR ) is a Russian athlete ( sprinter).

Jepischin, the son of former middleweight distance runner Ekaterina Podkopajewa is coached by his father Sergei. He is a three time Champion of Russia (2004-2006) about 100 m and four-time Russian Indoor Champion over 60 m ( 2003-2006).

He participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics, but resigned 10.29 seconds as seventh of his 100-meter quarterfinal run from early. The Russian 4x100 m relay team, he also belonged, was last of her forward playback.

At the European Indoor Championships in Seville in 2005, he was fifth on 60 meters. In the same year he won the silver medal in the 100 - meter sprint at the Universiade in Izmir.

In 2006 he won at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow the silver medal over 60 meters, scoring with a time of 6.52 seconds personal best and Russian record. Also the silver medal he won in the 100 meters at the European Championships in Gothenburg; his time of 10.10 seconds also meant personal best and national record.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics he was eliminated in sixth with 10.25 seconds of his 100-meter quarter-final run.
