Android Nim

Android Nim is a computer game released on the TRS -80 home computer for the first time in 1978. The game was developed by Leo Christopherson. A new version for the PC was released in 2005. Android Nim was, inter alia, also published on the Commodore PET and the C64. The game was created in a mixture of BASIC and machine language programming. It was one of the first games with " idle animation".

Gameplay

The object of the game is to remove the last androids from the three rows of the existing android. Here, the player against the computer and each of the two parties playing game can remove as many as possible androids per turn from one of the three rows, but at least one figure.

The gameplay is simple, but the animation of the android was impressive at the time of release of the game on the TRS -80. All androids move during the game at random the heads so that it looks as if they do it out of boredom or to talk with other androids.

The game starts with three rows of androids, each with seven, five and three androids. An animated Android asks the player if he wants to start with the first turn. The player selects a number: A, B, or C - and indicates how many android he wants to remove.
