Andrzej Olechowski

Andrzej Olechowski ( born September 9, 1947 in Kraków ) is a Polish politician and economist and finance minister in 1992 and 1993 to 1995 Polish Foreign Minister.

In the 2000 presidential election, he reached the second place with 17.30 % of the valid votes cast. After that, he was one of the founders of Platforma Obywatelska. He left the party in July 2009 because he was no longer satisfied with their course under Donald Tusk. In 2009, he announced his candidacy for the presidential election of 2010. In the first round he reached with 1.44% of votes 6th place among ten candidates in the second ballot he supported the eventual winner Bronisław Komorowski.
