Andy Powell

Andy Powell ( born February 19, 1950 in Stepney, London ) is a British guitarist, founding member of the rock band Wishbone Ash. He is the only permanent member of the group since its inception. Powell now lives in Connecticut, USA, and serves Wishbone Ash as a manager.

With his original bandmates Ted Turner, he formed one of the most influential lead guitar duos in rock history. They influenced among others bands like Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Umphrey 's McGee and Big Country.

Powell preference plays a 1967 Gibson Flying V but also especially for him -made guitars Flying V style of a small British company. In addition, he also plays guitars Duesenberg Guitars.
