Andy Rautins

Andy Rautins ( born November 2, 1986 in Syracuse, New York ) is a Canadian professional basketball player. He is the son of the coach of the Canadian national team, Leo Rautins, and played until 2011 for the NBA team the New York Knicks. Andy Rautins is 1.95 m tall, weighs about 86 kg and plays on the position of the Shooting Guards. He also owns the U.S. citizenship, but plays internationally for Canada, and is considered a good shot from outside the three point line.

Rautins attended college in Syracuse, for the team he played. He was selected in the second round of the NBA Draft in 2010 by the New York Knicks, and then participated in the 2010 World Cup. In the previous season 2010/11 (as at 31 December 2010) Rauntins came to only two inserts. After the season, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks for Tyson Chandler and discharged after five days.

After spending the 2011/2012 season in Spain and for CB Lucentum Alicante aground returned Rautins in the summer 2012 in the NBA back. He received a preliminary contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder. This was not renewed and Rautins left the Thunder before the season starts again. He then moved to the NBA Development League and signed a contract with the Tulsa 66ers.

For the 2013/2014 season Rautins returned to Europe and the Fraport Skyliners joined from the German Beko BBL. There he was given a contract until 2014.
