Añelo

ANELO is the capital of the department of ANELO in Neuquén Province in southwestern Argentina. It is located 100 kilometers from the provincial capital of Neuquén on the left bank of the Río Neuquén. The place belongs in the classification of municipalities in the province of Neuquén to the municipalities of the second category.

History

The town was founded on 20 October 1915.

Economy

The hydropower plant Complejo de Cerros Colorados Hidroeléctrico is located a few kilometers from the city.
