Anete Jēkabsone-Žogota

Ane Jekabsone - Žogota ( born August 12, 1983 in Riga) is a Latvian basketball player who plays at a height of 1.76 m on the position of the Shooting Guards and since 2009 for Connecticut Sun in the WNBA and Moskovskaya Oblast Spartak is active. Both by La Gazzetta dello Sport and by the FIBA Europe it was voted European Basketball Player of the Year in 2007.

With the Latvian national team took Jekabsone - Žogota part in the European Championships in 2005, 2007 and 2009. In the tournaments in 2007 and 2009, she was elected to the All- Tournament team in 2007, she moved also with the Latvian selection semi-finals. They also took part in the 2008 Olympic Games.
