Angelo Weiss

Angelo Weiss ( born February 9, 1969 in Trento ) is an Italian former Alpine skier. He drove almost exclusively slalom race, rarely giant slalom.

Biography

White began his career with inserts in FIS races and in the European Cup, from 1991 he started in the World Cup. The first World Cup points he brought on 22 March 1992 Crans -Montana, as he drove to 17th place. On 20 December 1993 he was in Madonna di Campiglio sixth - a result that should remain unsurpassed for more than five years - with the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer eighth.

But then tore the thread and white quickly lost contact with the world leaders, which was mainly due to the many failures. So he came, for example, in 1995 seven times in a row, not the finish. He started only sporadically in the World Cup and the coach classified him back. It was not until the end of 1998 he was able to stabilize again. He celebrated on January 9, 2000, when he won the World Cup as a complete surprise slalom in Chamonix greatest success. After failing to qualify for the Olympic Winter Games 2002, he retired from top-level sport.
