Anita Kelsey

Anita Kelsey (* in Mitcham ) is a British singer- songwriter. She is best known as the voice of many trance hits and as a backing vocalist for artists such as Boy George and the Spice Girls.


Kelsey scored their first musical success in 1997, when she and the band won a MOBO Award Sunship with their first album. In 1998 she was asked by the film composer Trevor Jones, for the soundtrack of the film Dark City to sing. Two of her songs were eventually released on the soundtrack. Other movies with her ​​voice include Merlin and Long Time Dead in which she also starred in the opening scene.

2004 saw Kelsey at BMG Music Publishing under contract. That same year she also launched various trance collaborations, including with Signum and Cor Fijneman. In 2005 she published with Markus Schulz single " First Time ", which was released by the label Armada Music. Other successful collaborations are " Never Ever " by Tom Tom Le Chevalier and "Falling" with First State.

As a songwriter she was already working for various other artists. She was about co- Writerin for the song " Home" by Lost Witness, which was sung by Tiff Lacey.
