Anita Tsoy
Anita "Anna" Sergejewna Tsoi (Russian Анита Сергеевна Цой, English transcription: Anita Tsoy; born February 7, 1971 in Moscow) is a Russian singer.
Life
Anita Tsoi was born as Anita Kim in Moscow in 1971. Both parents are members of the Korean minority in Russia. She was encouraged at a young age musically from her mother. After she finished her schooling, she began law studies at the Moscow State University. There she also met her future husband, Sergei Tsoi, know, like she herself is of Korean descent. After graduating, she worked as a lawyer but not, but trying to start a career as a singer. Finally, in 1997 was their first album, Poljot published. Stylistically, it is most likely attributable to the genre of rock music and was heavily influenced by the music of the Russian band Kino.
Encouraged by the success of their first album, was released in 1998, a second album, Chorny Lebed. This was stylistically classified as pop-rock. After numerous concert tours in Russia and other Russian-speaking countries Anita Tsoi traveled in 2000 to the United States finally took her there the first and only English-language album, I'll remember you. Followed in 2003 with 1,000,000 minut again a Russian -language album, which was the style of Art of Dance music. Dance should remain their preferred style of music in the future. 1000000 minut was again a great success, there were a total of four singles ( Million Minut, Odnomu tebe, Eto li ljubow? Nowogodnije and igruschki ).
In 2004 she was appointed by the South Korean President Roh Moo -hyun during his state visit to the Ambassador of Korean Culture in Russia.
After a long pause, then came out in 2007 their fourth album, Na Vostok. 2009 Anita Tsoi went on a concert tour in Russia, which raised low-income families who had lost by Chechen terrorists relatives. She toured inter alia by Grozny, Beslan and Budjonnowsk.
Then finally in 2011 came their sixth album, Twoja A, on the market.
