Anna Sophie of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg
Anna Sophie of Saxe- Gotha -Altenburg ( born December 22, 1670 in Gotha, † December 28, 1728 in Rudolstadt ) was a princess of Saxe- Gotha -Altenburg and by marriage Princess of Schwarzburg- Rudolstadt.
Life
Anna Sophie was the eldest daughter of Duke Friedrich I of Saxe- Gotha -Altenburg (1646-1691) from his marriage to Magdalena Sibylle (1648-1681), daughter of Duke Augustus of Saxe - Weissenfels.
They married on October 15, 1691 at Castle Friedensstein Count Ludwig Friedrich I of Schwarzburg- Rudolstadt ( 1667-1718 ). In 1710 her husband was elevated to the Imperial Prince and Anna Sophie first Princess of Schwarzburg- Rudolstadt. Three years later, the Primogeniturordnung was introduced in the country, which Anna Sophie's eldest son was heir to his father.
