Anna von Palen

Anna von Palen ( born May 26, 1875 in Pearl Mountain, † January 27, 1939 in Berlin) was a German actress.

Life

She made her debut in 1894 as Anna Paulsen in Gardelegen. More Stage stations were Bautzen, Bielefeld, Gliwice, Heidelberg and Riga. Since 1912, she lived in Berlin. From 1924 to 1929, she toured several times in South America.

Anna von Palen was from 1915 also a busy actress in German silent film. In the subject of the salon lady and later in maternal roles she took on significant responsibilities in Dramas. In 1920, she embodied Marah Durimeh in the two early Karl May movies on the ruins of paradise and the Caravan of Death. The actress was until her death continues to face the camera, most recently, however, only in smaller roles.
