Caravan of Death (film)

The Caravan of Death is a German silent movie for motifs of the novel " From Baghdad to Istanbul " by Karl May ( Karl May movie ) from the year 1920. It is subtitled "A film image of the southern sun in 6 files ." It is the least drawn, but listed as the second of three Karl May movies of the producer Marie -Louise droop with Carl de Vogt as Kara Ben Nemsi.

The widow of Karl May, Klara May, found that the main character Carl de Vogt would have similarity with her husband and found the film very well. But he was a commercial failure. The film is considered lost. Dracula star Bela Lugosi had with the small part of a sheikh one of his first film appearances in Germany.
