Annamaria Mazzetti

Annamaria Mazzetti ( born August 25, 1988 in Magenta ( Lombardy ), Provincia di Milano ) is an Italian professional triathlete and the national champion of 2009 in three categories ( Duathlon Sprint Triathlon Sprint Triathlon / Olympic distance ).

2007 Mazzetti won the Italian Triathlon Championships in all junior classes ( Aquathlon, Duathlon, Triathlon ), 2008, she was Italian U23 champion, 2009, in the elite category. Thanks to its EM bronze medals in 2010 ( U23 ) and 2011 (Elite) it is one of the great Italian Olympic hopes for 2012.

In Italy Mazzetti represents as well as Daniela Chmet, the Police Club ( Polizia di Stato ) GS Fiamme Oro, after they had previously been the Friesian team. Mazzetti joined a scientifically oriented grammar school ( liceo sientifico ) and lives in Cesate.

ITU competitions

In the seven years from 2004 to 2010 Mazzetti took part in 30 ITU competitions and achieved nine top - ten finishes. 2011 Mazzetti won the bronze medal at the European Championship Elite behind Emmie Charayron and Vendula Frintová. Mazzetti is thus by Nadia Cortassa the only Italian who reached the podium at a European Championship.
